EDITION
Fey Arts 2019
This year, as part of the publishing section, Daphné Mookherjee and Mélodie Zagury - editors and founders of the magazine aleï journal - have invited young publishers, philosophers and enthusiasts of rare editions to present their personal collections and their thoughts on the world of independent publishing.
Located in the breakfast room of the Château, they collaborated with architects Myriam K. Treiber, Emmanuelle Augustoni, Sergio Antonio Torres Escobar and Marija Urbaite to create a surrealist scenography on the theme of the forest. For the presentations, visitors were invited to sit on tree trunks placed in a bed of fresh moss and lit by neon lights.
Twice a day, during a breakfast and then a sweet snack orchestrated by chef Julia Zagury using local products, participants had the opportunity to discuss the future of the object of publishing, the choice of independent publishing, as well as to attend performative readings by authors and artists present at the festival.

First laid, an independent publisher of artists' monographs offering its publications as a "creative space" other than a gallery, introduced its four editorial projects. Founders Zoé Sylvestre, Thomas Collinet and Jesse Wallace had created an exhibition booth for the occasion, presenting some of the work of Theodore Dumas, the latest artist invited by First Laid and who gave a reading of some of his writings presented in the monograph. The kiosk was then made available to festival-goers in several locations outside the castle during the weekend.
